Am I the only one thinking Revenge of the Nerds after seeing the 11th Doctor's outfit?

Winter has finally hit Hobart! My toes are cold and my heater seems to be on all the time. The best part about this is that on Wednesday next week, keh_loves_blood , hoowee  and I are heading to Brisbane! We're staying with katdatheif  and Melissa. I can't wait..Dreamworld and Movie World are on the cards.

In other news, Mum finally came home from the hospital. She was in for almost a week longer than expected due to painful muscle spasms and the physio not going as well as she would have liked. It's good to have her home now though. The doctors said she'll probably need to do some rehab (not the Amy Winehouse type) so she can get back to walking properly again. There's a long road ahead of her I think!

Last night we were lucky enough to have an impressive thunder and lightening storm. Unluckily for me I had just drifted off to sleep when it started with a MASSIVE crash of thunder (yes, it did scare the crap outta me)! I honestly thought one of the big lights at Wentworth Park had fallen over it was that loud. I didn't actually see much of the show because I was dead tired but an email was "circulated" at work containing pictures someone took at Cygnet. (Not sure who the original photographer is but a big kudos for taking these awesome shots)

Bring on more storms!

So yesterday I decided to get Nandos for lunch. I didn't really feel like it but I'd had subway the day before. I got back to my desk and work, ate and got productive with work. About an hour later I stated to feel queazy. I thought "ok, this will pass". It didn't. I managed to stick it out at work til 4:30 and went straight home. I'll spare everyone the details of what happened next because it's very unpleasent but hoowee , it's like the apple pie insodent in college. In other words, I got food poisoning for the first time.

I won't be eating Nandos any time soon.

Hmm... I think I could handle spending "more time with tardis".

So, there are all sorts of website that offer strange and unique computer accessories. Over the past few months or so I've been keeping a close eye on some of them. Zazz is a particular favourite of mine. They sell one product per day, for that day only. I've scored myself a 22" widescreen lcd monitor for my PC, mp3 players for younger siblings and a whole bunch of other weird and wonderful things. Zazz also has a sister site Miss Zoe who also sell one product per day but also offer other objects until they're sold out (I assume). I warn you all... going to these websites will leave a big dent in your credit cards!

So in saying all of this, Cassu, this one is for you!

I'm not really surprised to be honest and as much as I love him as The Doctor, I think it's time for him to move over and let someone else have a crack at the part. Besides, I wouldn't bet on him never reprising the role sometime in the future. It will happen.

Now all we do is wait to see who is next.

Late on Thursday night my new nephew was born! My sister had to have a caesarean (or "c-section" to you americans) because he wasn't positioned correctly. He weighed 7lb 11oz which was more than we expected! Both mum (Jen) and bub are doing well.

By this Thursday, I will become an aunt.

So Doctor Who is done and dusted for the year (bar the Christmas ep). I have to say that I LOVED this season!

Donna = win.
I think she has topped the list of favourite companions for me. I was about 'wtf' when it was announce last year that she will be returning. However, I think Catherine Tate is absolutely brilliant now.

The Finale = win.
It seems a lot of people around the interweb hated the ending but I loved it. I shall say no more because I don't know how much people have seen but I will say this: The box set will be pre-ordered AS SOON AS IT IS AVAILABLE!!!

On another note, I was talking to hoowee and keh_loves_blood about an interview on Jonathon Ross with David Tennant and Catherine Tate to promote the series this year. Here are the links: part 1 and part 2. Please watch and look for the bit where Catherine talks about her cat. I lol'ed.

Yesterday I bought myself an electric skillet. It's quite small and didn't cost much so I don't expect it to last ages but it's better than what I had... which was nothing. For those who don't know my kitchen, it's too small for two people to stand in there at once, doesn't have a full oven and has barely any storage space. I bought myself a small bench oven sometime last year which is fan-bloody-tastic! It too didn't cost much and I've been abusing the heck out of it but it sure beats just having a microwave. Anyways, the skillet was a much needed addition to my little collection. Last night keh_loves_blood, hoowee, katdatheif and I broke it in by cooking pancakes. Boy was it nice! Today I cooked my first meal. Enchiladas. You guys have no idea how happy I am to not have to leave my flat to make these.

It's been awhile since I posted anything... I promise something non meme-esque will appear.
